As the original pilot Smart franchise this business was first established in July 2003, with the aim of showcasing a unique combination of outsourced office services previously unavailable in Hawke’s Bay – or New Zealand.

This office has been the development platform for what the Smart network has become today. Building awareness of the Smart brand and education of prospective clients in Hawkes Bay (as the services provided seemed rather foreign to local business owners when Smart first started) has been a big ask for the Havelock North office, but they’ve delivered. The original idea is now a reality with Smart growing across New Zealand from here.

This location is moving forward in leaps and bounds – expanding into larger premises in August 2009.

Smart has close ties with the local business community through the Havelock North Business Association and Hawkes Bay Chamber of Commerce, and supports business owners from Havelock North, Hastings, Napier, and further afield.

They are a great combinaton with an excellent background of previous business ownership in South Africa. Phillippa has been with Smart as one of the original Finance Agents since 2005 and she is a key member of the team with fantastic relationships with all of the clients. She always scores the produce with horticultural and farming clients!!
